Emma lost her TP in Generation X, and she really shined in that story.
Would other aspects of her character be developed? I dunno ‘cause that’s Bendis’ job, but since he created this interesting environment to let Emma in, he at least has plans for her.
Yes due to the psi wave, but she didn't seem any different than she normally was except she couldn't read minds anymore. Marvel as of late does not seem to be developing aspects of characters, they seem to just be changing them completely. It was strange that a woman that was struggling with survivors guilt due to Genosha didn't use the 'Resurrection" force to bring back her beloved students (including the Hellions) or her dead daughters. At this time she had the power and it wasn't burning through her like last time, she could have found a way to confront Jean for what happened in Warsong, but unfortunately a large portion of her fans only really like her because "the Mean Girl rich socialite" mentality is in now.
Have I missed something? ‘cause her last appearance in ANX #3 told readers that she lost her TP. How do you know she’s not any different than normally? We need to wait to see what really happens. It’s even possible that she’s lying about her losing power.
As a ridiculously huge Emma fan, I don’t care about her powers that much. I love her TP and diamond form of course, but what attracts me is her character, not powers. Now there is a good opportunity to show other aspects of her that has never demonstrated before, I’m happy.
But well, whether or not Bendis handles that well is another thing. You know, Bendis.
As for powers… Magneto is facing the same problem:
