Emma Frost is a fictional character originating from Marvel Comics. Originally starting off as a super villain and enemy of the X-Men, during which she was the White Queen of the Hellfire Club, Emma Frost is a powerful mutant telepath who can transform herself into organic diamond. She has become a prominent member of the X-Men. A gifted teacher, Emma is renowned for her beauty, wit, and sense of fashion.
This may seem silly, but apparently not to a lot of folks, who take their White Queen very seriously! Bowen Designs is producing an Emma Frost statue, but there's been some controversy as to which lipstick shade to use. When first sneaked, it was painted red. Some fans were upset and said it should be white. Well, Bowen had their painter whip up a white lipsticked version as well and are asking which is preferred.

i think it mainly depends on who is doing the art, Bianache 's Emma looks really good with the blue/silver but somebody like Larrocca looks better drawing emma with traditional styles
I personally like the white better, the red is much too dark/deep for emma. She hasnt sported that dark of a shade since Gen X. If she did have to go for a natural shade, i would go with a pale pink/peach, like she had in New X-men, the red just reminds me of either a rockabilly girl or something.
Considering Emma Frost is a consummate snob, I find it funny that she's started wearing blue lipstick. The expensive & fashionable brands make natural shades. So I love imagining Emma having to slum it in Superdrug looking at cheap brands of lippy, or hanging out with the goths & punks as she investigated where they bought their from ;p
Shes too good to buy her own lipstick. Thats why she has her lipstick bitches to buy loads of lippy for her. Out of all the xwomen emma is the most stylish one and up-to-date with the fashion.

I used to wear blue when I was 18, but stopped because I was tired of people telling me that I looked like I'd drowned. Now *cough* 'some *cough* years later, it's sexy & fashionble. What can I say, I was ahead of the times ;p
@xerox-kitty: I know Emma can behave like a snob, but it's not like she doesn't have a heart. She's just very selective about who she shows it to. I believe that Shana said about Emma said in the Savage Land was that she does have a soft side, but Emma said that it was only for Scott. The cold hands, warm heart scenario.
When I'm drawing Emma. I always go with the pale blue shade. Shades that stand out too much are tarty looking. The pale blue works well since it ties in with the clothes. I added a pale blue into the outfit. Just because I thought all white would be boring.
Emma Frost - Let's Make Music I know very little about fashion. As an artist I just have an eye for seeing a balance. As a teen, my mother would take advantage of my coordination skills. It was just awkward having my mother come to her teen son to ask if the outfit she selected for some party with friends worked right.
I did have to try and learn some basics about makeup for coloring women. I did learn that the best kind of looks are those that look as natural as possible. I also learned about the science of arousal. How makeup is intended to pretty much mimic those signs. Such as the flushes cheeks and lips. In drawings though I normally avoid trying to do blush. It never comes out right. Dilated pupils is another physical sign, but that's not something easily pulled off in artwork.
