Sexy Holiday Cheer
The sexy horror host Elvira had a special holiday edition in her Elvira’s House of Mystery magazine back in 1987 with a neat George Perez cover. Santa certainly is enjoying himself!
The first story is a parody on A Christmas Carol, where Cain ,Abel and Destiny help realize that getting Christmas “shoved down your throat” once a year is better than a lot of things. Wow! Good Frank Springer art. Frank is better known for working on Marvel’s Dazzler and Nick Fury, Agent of Shield.
The second story is called “Oh What Fun to Laugh and Sing a Slaying Song Tonight!” where a thief goes around beating up and robbing Salvation Army Santas. A Michael Fleisher script, the thief dresses as Santa and cases a house that has a little blind girl inside who thinks this guy is Santa. He gets his at the end, however.
The third story is silly, by Barbara Randall & Stephen DeStefano called “O, Christmas Tree”, about a tree that is really a demonic spirit!
The fourth done-in-one story, uncredited, deals with the Earth being wiped out by nuclear war except for Santa and an invading group of aliens. When Santa asks if they could take him to a world where there are children, the aliens have a dangerous reception awaiting.
And of course to top it all off, a pin-up of the sexy Elvira who asks, “Anyone ready for roasted chestnuts?”
