The goal of Treestump's decision in EQ:SaBM#5 was clear, to bring his force of Wolfriders into Blue Mountain, rescue Dewshine & Windkin, and bring all elves whos mind had once touched and withstood Winnowill's dark-sendings to a final embrace, that would either cure or destroy Winnowill once-and-for-all. These elves included: Strongbow, Leetah, and Suntop as well as Cutter and Savah, who was in her usual deeptrance-assist-the-Wolfrider mode.
As the Cover-Art shows, Door seals the entryway between the inner and outter Palace of Blue Mountain after Leetah and Suntop enter, but before Strongbow enters, and Skywise only partially enters Blue Mountain. Maybe this is the delicate occult-suggestion that Richard Pini became obsessed, from all of the Aryan and Egarthaen Lore which had accumulated in the European Reichs. Skywise becomes trapped between the inside and the outside of the great mystery of Egg-Consciousness and synthesis within the WE IS CONCIOUSNESS of the Cave.
It surely gave many readers the creeby jeepies during '89.
