Animalistic Expendables
Born and breed to kill, raised to believe they have no thoughts of their own, and trained to cause a tremendous amount of destruction, animal/human hybrids known as Elephantmen are some of the coolest characters I've seen recently. This issue tells of their origin and rescue out of the evil clutches of their creators MAPPO. As it is an origin story there's quite a bit of setup, but there's no lack of action and violence, as the Elephantmen show what they were trained to do, what they were bred to do, what they were born to do! The forces of the United Nation learn fast that conventional means and tactics won't work against these beasts, handing out death to their enemies one after the other.
Anyone who is interested in fantastic looking characters, and a slightly new and fun concept (at least to me) would do well to check out this series.
