Teagan Harcrow and her husband Franklin Harcrow were both university professors. At some point in the past, the United States would experience a long term power outage which would reach crisis levels. Teagan and Franklin would use their research and knowledge to discover a means and energy source that would not only solve the current power outage but create the means for free, clean global energy for all. Unfortunately agents of a sector in the US government would attempt to kill Teagan and Franklin and steal the research for their own use. They murdered Franklin and left Teagan on deaths doorstep surrounded by fire. As chance would have it, the inferno would burn and be the catalyst for an explosion of the energy source the two professors were going to use for renewable energy and its consequent discharge imbued Teagan with super human electricity wielding powers and abilities. She would go on to become a superhero dubbing herself Electronika.

Despite holding a negative view towards the US government because of their role in the murder of her husband, Elektronika has still proven to be a hero, having served as a member of the Protectors of Earth. Her villains are the US Government, Hieronymus Higgens and the Choir Boy.
