The publisher UItgeverij Podium of Eisner Beeldverhalen stopped producing the issues after the release of the fifth issue. Even though the cover for the sixth had been made (see picture). The reason for the early dimise of this anthology based works were the lack of sales.
The first issue appeared in November 2008. The magazine, named after the godfather of the graphic novel Will Eisner, appeared two times a year. The magazine tried to capture the literary comic reader but their target readers were hard to reach. The magazine couldn't live on their 250 subscribers and 250 magazines sold trough bookstores. The above cover, displaying work of Michiel van de Pol which was announced in the Uitgeverij Podium spring catalog for May 2011 never saw the light of day.
