This publishing company which was started in 1940 mainly to published comics illustrated or written by Pierre Mouchot who was known by the name Chott, had to stop during the Nazi occupation, Starting again in 1946 with the adventures of Phantom inspired Fantax it was banned by the French government because of its violent content, so that issues 5 and 6 were text without art, he later was able to restart both Fantax and a number of other comics, publishing them throughout the 50s in pocket sized editions with black & white interiors.

In 1960 the government once again charged his comics with violence, this time when taken down in 1961 they did not return as Mouchot had gone broke and died just a few years later.
