Her original origin allegorically depicted her as a clay figure brought to life by the gods, but in recent years she has been depicted more literally as the daughter of Zeus and the Amazon queen Hippolyta.
Jay Garrick is the original, Golden Age, super-speedster, and was the first to have the mantle of the Flash and a founder of the Justice Society of America. It was Jay Garrick's legendary heroics that inspired Barry Allen.
Martha Wayne is the wife of the late Dr. Thomas Wayne and the mother of Bruce Wayne.
Bred for battle on the hellish world of Apokolips, Big Barda became one of her world's greatest warriors and served as the leader of Darkseid's personal guard, the Female Furies. Eventually Barda found love, and fled Apokolips with her future husband, Mr. Miracle. Barda has since made Earth her primary home and has served as member of the Justice League. She is the daughter of Big Breeda.

Alfred Pennyworth is Bruce Wayne's loyal father figure and butler. Alfred raised Bruce (and later Dick Grayson) after the death of the Waynes. A former British secret agent, Alfred is a skilled surgeon who often treats members of the Bat-Family.
The son of Highfather, Scott Free was traded as an infant for Darkseid's child, Orion, to end the war between the New Gods of Apokolips and New Genesis. Henry King Jr. is the son of the 1940's criminal mentalist Brain Wave and Merry the Gimmick Girl. Henry would be a founding member of the first Infinity Inc. but eventually went mad due to his powers.

Dr. Kitty Faulkner is a scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs in Metropolis. She was working on a solar energy project when an accident happened, giving her the ability to absorb solar energy and transform at will into a 9 ft. tall, golden skinned, super-strong version of herself. She earned the name Rampage because when she transforms, she's more hot-tempered, aggressive, and uninhibited than normal. Though she mostly acts as a hero as Rampage, there have been a few times when her temper has gotten the better of her.
Joe Chill was a small-time criminal who on one fateful night encountered Thomas and Martha Wayne as well as their son Bruce. Chill robbed the Waynes and then shot Thomas and Martha, leaving Bruce orphaned, inciting his journey into becoming the vigilante Batman.
