When I first heard of him I thought like many others that his name was Bills, but I'm not sure how long it was before I learned the correct name. I do remember that I was glad his name wasn't Bills.

I also thought Hit was "Heat" at first and I thought he might have some connection to Frieza's race, like he was from some race related to them that didn't survive in U7.

People were calling Beerus as “Bills” because that’s the name that got released in the original translated spoilers before Battle of Gods.

I remember everyone calling him Bills but the BoG subs calling him Beerus so I went with Beerus.

I think it's funny when people call the characters by the English version of their Japanese name, like Gokou, Yamucha, Kuririn or Zamas. Not because they're winding someone up, but because they're purists. That's a laugh.

The latest name annoyance has been the other GoDs though, in particular Vermouth, Belmont, Belmod. I just wish someone would say what his damn name is supposed to be.

I'm not upto date with the manga yet but in subs I've had three different translations for his name

I thought it was Belmond

But I've seen Vermoud and Vermouth mutiple times in some of the subs I've watched

Bills sounds way more badass than Beerus (especially after i heard the way that squeaky JapGoku says it)

bills is the official spanish dub name for beerus, so what is gulity about it? spanish is a more popular language than english (more people speak it) and he is not called beerus in japanese either, but birusu
