Vegeta statement of being able to destroy the planet with a power level of 18,000 yet fast forward on Namek Piccolo, Gohan, and krillin are surprised that Frieza being able to destroy planets like nothing if he wanted to. And piccolo is at least beyond 1 Million I’m Power Levels, for matching second Form Frieza.

Showing the saiyans power and them being savage(nappa, the same atack literaly was like hill level while being serios later).

Frieza blowing up planet vegeta casualy becouse he is that powerfull and been allways implied to be that powerfull and to kill off the saiyans.

Frieza failing to destroy namek becouse he held to much back but in reality it was just a way to make the final battle more dramatic.

Frieza knows how much it takes to destroy a planet and done it before and probably alot of times not only planet vegeta.

After that it feels like toriyama does whatever the fuck comes to his mind.

Those were gag feats. They were for the sake of plot for certain episodes (prohibiting/reversing kid Goku's or Goha's Great Ape transformations).
