Welp good news for you die hard DB fans. The new trailer 2 for Dragonball Broly confirms that Frieza destroyed Vegeta not through core busting. His attack detonated on impact.

I suppose you could look at it that way....but of course you must also remember Frieza has already destroyed a planet in his base form with little effort. And that Vegeta himself is a planet buster, who was leagues weaker than Frieza in his base form. I mean it doesn't really mean anything to say that someone who can lift up an elephant decides to push over a person rather than throw them. Both the context and the action don't matter, it's already confirmed that he can do it.

Frieza is still and adult at this point. He was always that short, though his body does have a new design.

I'm pretty sure mot people already accepted this. First form Frieza has always been the first legitimate planet buster in the series. The only real question is if saiyan saga Vegeta could actually replicate such a feat.

Vegeta was at least close to planet busting in saiyan saga, and base Frieza is way above him. It doesnt matter how you destroy something anyways. If you can destroy a planet by any means, then you are likely a planet buster.

What Frieza did casually would take all of power from Saiyan Saga Vegeta.
