its been around since the namek saga

There isn't a single light speed feat in the Namek arc.

Re-watch it

You need to read the manga. There are no light speed feats in the manga. There weren't really any in the anime either unless you abuse filler scenes.

The OP is hilarious. If anything, this would confirm that DBZ characters have finally reached the level of speed to fight faster than light. You can't use the vents of the current series to retroactively prove things from the original one, especially when the entire series is based around powering up lmao

Why jobbing? maybe Dyspo is stronger than him or has better abilities to counter him lol.

@superentity: jobbing is when someone losses/gets stomped to show the audience that their opponent is a legit threat to everyone.

Hit getting slapped around is doing just that.

Not jobbing would be like frieza eliminating people, they aren't jobbing they are just cannon fodder.

That isn't jobbing lol, it just indicates that the opponent is strong enough to counter his Time-skip, we don't even know how strong Dyspo is.

@superentity: that is literally what jobbing is. Hit is jobbing to the rabbit. The rabbit is stomping him making everyone watching go wtf hit is losing that rabbit is legit.

That's all jobbing is. Vegeta is the job master, he jobbed to beerus, hit, black, etc.

So hit losing to a brand new character without feats, we don't even know how strong he is would be considered jobbing? lol doesn't make sense.

The difference is that All of them have feats.

It would be like if i had a brand new character to Bastard!! and make that character stomp Dark Schneider, why would that make DS a jobber? maybe that character is stronger.

But you might be right though, with the direction DBS is going i woudn't be surprised if Hit jobs against Dyspo, we just need to wait until the episode comes out.

Avatar image for scotchbear
#67 Posted by Scotchbear (520 posts) - - Show Bio

@superentity: that's exactly what a job does. We knew very little about the rabbit but now we know he can stomp hit.

What did you think jobbing was? It's literally just to hype someone else up by having them stomp an established strong character.

Jobbing would be like Silver Surfer losing constantly against Gladiator even tho we know there's several ways SS would stomp Gladiator.

In this case we don't know how strong Dyspo is, so why would it be jobbing? maybe you should consider that Dyspo is stronger than Hit, we already know that an opponent with stronger power level can somehow negate Time-skip, just wait for the episode.

@superentity: that is jobbing!! Lol. Jobbing is when an established strong character gets beat by someone else so that the audience now knows that they are strong.

Vegeta jobbed to hit. We knew very little of hit or how strong he was, so Vegeta's Job was to get blasted by him to show that he is strong asf.

Hits job is to get heat up by the bunny to show he is strong.

That's what jobbing means.

I think that might be a mistake on their part. The entire time in the Tournament so far, Goku either went SSJ1/2 or SSJB. Why would he use SSJG now?

So... SSJ God is faster than Light, that means no one before Super was Light speed... that's of course if they straight out say Goku is moving faster than the speed of Light...

I guess it also means SSJ Blue Goku various times faster than Light.

@superentity: It doesn't matter if a character is new or not, you can still job to them. For example Frieza jobbed to Future Trunks. Jobbing just means losing to make someone else look good.

@scotchbear:

This is the first time I've seen anyone used the term "jobbing" on here. As far as I knew, "jobbing" was a wrestling term, where the 'jobber' is a character who only shows up to lose. Like Yamcha. Yamcha is an A-Grade Jobber. Losing to someone unknown to immediately make the audience think they must be a real threat is to 'get/put them over'. Hit's a winner and someone who technically killed SSB Goku in the anime. He's a hardass. So Hit losing to Dyspo isn't jobbing, Hit's putting him over.

Same with Vegeta, who has fought and trained with Goku and we know he's legitimately powerful and near par with Goku, but he put's over villains so that the villain appears more powerful giving the audience an indication of the problem Goku will have to overcome in order to win and make Goku look amazing. Putting someone over is used for when an unknown character can simply put up a good fight against the strength of a known character, like when the unknown Majin Buu fought on more or less equal terms with SS3 Goku, then Goku goes back to Otherworld and now the audience is left in the knowledge that the remaining characters have a hell of a hill to climb.

There are a lot of Jobbers in the Universal Survival Tournament so far; all of Universe 9 and 10, some of the robot warriors of Universe 3 and others. But when someone you now to be strong is losing to someone unknown, it's to put them over.

At least, that's how I know the terms
