Can't roshi just wish for flight? Or are earth's dragon balls uncapable of doing it?

Knowing how Tao doesn't know how to fly despite being in Crane Martial Arts so he simply uses his strength and throws a pillar at hypersonic speeds and flies for few minutes. Current Roshi can do the same and much much better lol so I don't see him needing that. I mean he should be able to jump countries at this point and I won't be surprised. So don't think he needs flight.

I am pretty sure Roshi could learn how to fly pretty easily. He just refuses to because it's a technique his rival came up with and he's kind'a petty about it.

@metaljimmor: yet there is different ways and types of flight as picillo's and goku's are also different. Roshi certainly has the potentail to master his own style. but call it poor writing xd.

I am pretty sure Roshi likened flight to a parlor trick at one point. He absolutely could develop a flying technique, but doing so would be admitting that his rival had a really good idea before he did.

If Roshi really wanted to have the ability to fly, he would've accomplished it eons ago.

I think he can self-learn in like a day but learning it means that he is accepting his rival's influence on him. He has ego problems.

He doesn't need to wish for it, if he actually wanted to fly there's nothing really stopping him except himself
