    Origin

    Dr. Kuretich used to be a lead scientist at Project Rising Spirit and had a big hand in the creation of the nanites injected into Bloodshot. When Dr. K uncovered PRS's true intentions, he went rogue.

    Creation

    Dr. Kuretich was created by writer Duane Swierczynski and artists Arturo Lozzi and Manuel Garcia. He first appeared in the story "Bloodshot Part 1: Dunk Tank" in Bloodshot #1 (Jul. 2012).

    Major Story Arcs

    Having trapped Bloodshot during a mission in Afghanistan, Dr. Kuretich downloaded all the info Bloodshot contained in his mind and showed him that PRS had implanted fake memories in his brain to motivate him to do their bidding. Now the scientist is aiding Bloodshot to gain his revenge on Project Rising Spirit and discover his true identity. But it transpires Dr. Kuretich had ulterior motives for leading Bloodshot to The Nursery - he is secretly working for Toyo Harada who wanted Bloodshot to free the imprisoned young psiots at PRS.
