    Review: Doomwar #3 0

The Black Panther enlists the aide of the Fantastic Four to help free Wakanda from Doctor Doom, who is undergoing a trial of the soul to gain access to the nation's Vibranium reserve. THE GOODRead this comic for the portion regarding Doom's trial of the soul in audience with Wakanda's panther god. It's one of those rare moments in comics that simultaneously defines a character with great pathos, renders superheroics with the weight of classic mythology and also...

This review and other can be found on my blog> http://worldofblackheroes.wordpress.com/   SummaryDO NOT READ THE SUMMARY or REVIEW UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPOILED ~spoilers ahead~ We get an overly long recap of recent panther history and the first two issues by way of Shuri trying to get the Fantastic four onboard, to help with their Doom problem. The latter half of the story centers around Doom and how he passed the final lock of the wakandan security system “purity”. Can Maberry Write A Doom On-going? Please? 0

Through Blackest Night, Brightest Day, and Siege, Doomwar has flown under the radar. Perhaps more people should be reading the miniseries though because it has been a pleasant treat. So far, I've praised Maberry's portrayal of Doom and wondered where this is going.THE GOOD:- Yet again, Doctor Doom. I will not waste time repeating what I've said. It's ideal representation of Doom. At this point, I would buy a monthly of Doom, written by Maberry, reading the dictionary - it's that good.- I'll sepa...

Doom is the enemy of everone on earth...or is he? 0

Doom is one of my favorite Marvel villains. However I have not read many stories with him in it. I picked up Doomwar after it was recommended on comicculturewarrior. I have been pretty happy with it so far. I liked the X-men team-up with Wolverine, Colossus, and Nightcrawler but they are just in flash-backs in this issue. It starts out with Black Panther recapping to the Fantastic-Four what has happened. The rest of the issue deals with how Doom got past the last lock. It is great writing by Ma...

Doom At His Most Awesome 1

So, I had to go get this when I realized I forgot it Wednesday. I haven't been overly excited with this series but this issue was classic Doom awesomeness.   I grew out of the X-Men. I've never cared for the Black Panther. Don't get me started with Storm. I am reading this for Doctor Doom, and this issue delivered. Although I like a more merciless, cold portrayal of the 'good' Doctor, this issue split Doom open and showed us all his true intelligence and his true intentions.   That's why it gets...
