    I dont think i liek the new look but i like the face. I am willing to give this new look a chance, Doomsday seems to have gained enough intelligence to speak and comprehend, if he was actually asking around for Steel. I dont think Doomsday should be able to be injustred by Steels Hammer unless his suit gives him the strength of Superman and the hammer is made of a Kryptonian metal

    Hmmm it looks nice. I'll be willing to give it a chance, but it seems that its like he's wearing armor. And when has the Ultimate ever needed armor? Still, I'll give it a chance.

    well accroding to the previews, it is armor but it seems to be attached or inplace of his bone armor from previous versions and the armor has the same healing capabilities as Doomsday has so i am assuming the armor is a part of him and now makes up his protruding armor and his bones

    Unfortunately Steel #1 will be a one-shot. And wow, I had no idea the crossover will go through Superman/Batman (with Robinson writing it as I've just read) as well. Good to know.

    I don't really like it. Artists just can't draw Doomsday correctly. He was cool in Hunter and Prey and Gog wars, but other than that, he is ugly.

    Doomsday wearing armor...kinda like giving a rocket launcher a grenade launcher attachment.
    Totally unnecessary yet all the more dangerous and fun.

    Yea im curious how they got metal to become his bone in his genes. If its man made metal its useless, if its of alien origin stronger then then man made metals and kryptonian metals than it makes him that much stronger

    yea but every time he comes back he could look unrecognizably different if they wanted him too and it would make sense

    I predict that the last issue will be one of JMS' Superman books, and there's only one of two appropriate ways for that to end: 

    1. Doomsday rages up to Superman until he realizes that Superman is more interested in walking the Earth, shrugs his shoulders, and then go back home.
    2. Doomsday pulls JMS into the comic, then suplexes him repeatedly.

    yea, i downloaded all the promo pics they've had to this Reign of Doomsday and not  one of them Show Doomsday with armor. Even for the Steel issue, the promo pics or whatever you want to call it had bone protusions coming off of him not armor ones. 
     
    I just thought of this and its probably wrong but im curious if the steel adaption was just for Steel. Im curious if instead of dying, he adapts to his opponents by copying them and altering hmself.  
     
    Steel had armor so Doomsday had armor 
    Superboy's TK and flight, maybe Doomsday will have some version of those.  
     
    He would basically be Doomsday with Amazo's ability (Cartoon version)

    so far it looks like my guess was right. Doomsday seems to be able to duplicate the abilities of the people he is fighting. 
     
     
    During this issue he duplicates

    Halo's abilities. Im not sure if one of her abilities is to open portals but he seemed to be able to do that in the end. 
     
     or at least thats what it looked like. The other possibilities are
