    The young nobleman Hyacinthe de Cavallère is sent to live with his uncle in a big city, to learn the modern ways of ruling. His ideals soon face the harsh realities of political life, and a feeling of helplessness. After witnessing one injustice too many, the young Hyacinthe decides to take justice into his own hands as the masked avenger Night Shirt.
