Dojo was born in San Francisco. He was trained by the Soft Master in New York City's Spanish Harlem. Years after the death of his master he was recruited by Storm Shadow. His missions were to save Destro from the assasins of Cobra Commander, and to liberate the town of Millville from Cobra.
Shortly before the G.I. Joe team was shut down, Dojo and his former teammates, Nunchuk, T'Jbang and Jinx opened a martial arts training school for troubled youngs in New York .

In the second (D.I.C.) cartoon series he was also the member of the Ninja Force. They tried to find a mystical sword before Cobra Commander and his ninjas.

Abilities

Dojo is an expert of martial art weapons. He also a Kung Fu master and an U.S. Army Master Sergeant. Dojo is very "talkative", believing that speaking disrupts an opponent's concentration
