A run of graphic novels created in 2001 by esteemed Belgian writer Jean Dufaux, Djinn chronicles the story of Kim Nelson, a young lady who journeys to Istanbul in search of clues to her grandmother’s shadowy past. She soon learns that during the declining days of the Ottoman Empire her grandmother was a harem girl, and the favorite of the Black Sultan.

As more evidence piles up and the mystery develops, Kim finds herself dealing with crooked characters and determined paramours in bookshops, baths, and bedchambers all over the ancient city.

Translated in German, Italian and English.
