After an asteroid strikes earth and annihilates most of its inhabitants, a brave dinosaur named Aladar must seek shelter for himself and his adopted family of lemurs. Several days into their journey, the family encounters a large herd of dinosaurs traveling to a legendary breeding ground that is said to be untouched by the asteroid's devastation. Trouble brews as the ruthless leader of the herd and his brutish right hand minion push the dinosaurs to their breaking points with a kill-or-be-killed attitude. Aladar tries to help by speaking out against the cruelty and following his instincts. Little does he know that they are being pursued by carnivores.
