With all due respect, are you out of your mind? All these team books are casually floating around and yet Nightwing, the go-to guy for leading is left out of the action? You don't think that's even the least bit salty?

Not really. I don't really see him belonging in any current team titles as a permanent team member. I'm content with him just having his own series and appearing in other Bat Family titles.

Ten month old thread, welcome to the present!

As for a team name, I like the name "Outsiders" but, as has been mentioned, The Outsiders had a theme, and while Dick CAN work in the shadows, I don't think it suits him. I also like the name "Titans" but, even though this team name is his birthright, in-universe it would come of as copying Tim's Teen Titans. So I'm not a fan of either team name for a N52 Nightwing led team. Nightwing, does, however, deserve to lead a team name with some comic history, so I have to throw my hat in with @smoothjammin on this one. The title should either be "Nightwing and the All-Stars" or "All-Star Squadron." Dick wouldn't have to name it himself, could come from a television news reporter saying "Nightwing and his all-stars," or something along those lines.

    As for a roster:

Wally West (reintroduced with a new moniker, perhaps Bolt. Revealed to have a history of heroing with Dick, but retired to go to college.) Team's speedster (obviously), and more importantly Dick's best friend and confidant.

Aqualad/Tempest (inspired by Young Justice's Kaldur. Atlantian sergeant loyal to Aquaman.) Excellent combatant, able to form constructs with water (like the swords and maces in the cartoon).

Supergirl- The teams real heavy hitter. Also, her cynicism and Dick's optimism would play well against each other. Perhaps Dick could help her see that mankind is worth protecting

Huntress- Team's tactician, infiltration specialist and archer (perhaps Dick could even get her some trick arrows from Roy). I'd like to think that Helena would want to lead the team and even perhaps be a better strategist than Dick, but not nearly as good of a leader. Her presence could highlight that Dick is just the type of person that people willingly follow out of trust. Also, the dynamic of them being kinda-sorta-related in an adopted-brother/sister-from-parallel-universes could be hilarious.

Insert Magic Based Character Here - Someone to open this team to magic based story lines. Zatanna's appearances in Young Justice make me want to include her, but I'm not sure that her n52 version would fit here. One idea that I've had that I don't expect anyone else to like: Reintroduce Donna Troy, but instead of being a super-strength character, emphasize magic.

I think this team could have great dynamics. Supergirl being pouty and emo with Wally attempting to cheer her up/pick on her while being a wise arse. Kaldur being uber serious while Dick and Wally make jokes. Helena attempting to get everyone to focus. Helena and Dick attempting to explain how they are (sort of) related after being accused of dating. I think you've got an effective combat team that could also play well off each other for fun banter. You've also got the ability to tell plenty different types of stories. Huntress opens up possiblity for multiverse exploration. Kara, being an alien, opens up the sci fi genre.Wally gives room for speed force stories. Its got everything you could want. Maybe even throw Kyle Raynar in there as well.
