Ever since he's gone back to the Nightwing alias this is the only question that's bothered me. How can he not be on a team?? If the Justice League won't take him then surely the JSA or Stormwatch? JLI even? It's the least he deserves for DC retconning the original Teen Titans era. I'd like to see a revived JSA with Dick on the forefront alongside the likes of Powergirl, Wally West, Dr. Midnite etc etc but that's just me.
Dick Grayson
Character » Dick Grayson appears in 9480 issues.
As the first Robin, Dick Grayson was the most famous sidekick in comic book history. As he ventured forth on his own, he formed the Teen Titans and became their leader. When the boy became a man, he became the independent hero known as Nightwing.
What team would you like to see Nightwing join?

The Avengers
Why not? It would be a nice change of pace lol
Seriously though, it goes without saying that NW is a premier hero these days. It only makes sense DC exploit those natural talents that set him apart from his mentor, traits that distinguished his popularity in the 80's. Dick works off intuition, he relies on impeccable timing and steadfast reflexes to win the day. Where Batman is more or less a general, known for his great strategy and meticulous planning Nightwing is like the field leader you send in there to command a strike team. Unlike Bruce he isn't afraid to use a gun or make the tough choices.(Dick has been known to use lethal methods before, in the Outsiders and in the recent JLA, he's also beaten the Joker to death and condemned Deathstroke to hell in Titans Annual, admitting he should've killed Slade years ago much to the dismay of Donna) If you can't put him on the same team as Bats than atleast place him on an equal platform, in a prestigious group like the JSA. A famillal setting is just what the Doctor ordered. Plus, they need a few fresh faces now that the revamp means shelfing most of the original founding members. Out with the old in with new...can we atleast get a Wally West/Dick Grayson team up ppl?
I'd like a book just called Titans, with Dick as the leader. And it be consisting of Dick, Donna Troy, Connor Hawke, Wally West, Kyle Rayner, Power Girl, and Zatanna.
That sounds really good actually. You're line-up is especially intriguing, because I can see all of those characters meshing so well. Gonna have to pick up alot of the slack from the current Titans book.
Apparently Wally West and Donna Troy dont exist in DCnU....at least not yet.
He should be on JLI. It would make more sense than Batman being on both teams
How about ..... He stays solo.
I don't mind if he goes solo for a little while, but I eventually want to see him run a team, otherwise you're really spoiling his potential. Dick is the most complete crimefighter in Batmans stead, Tim is something special, but this guy... he was born to be a leader. He possesses all the tools to get the job done and doesn't lack in any department skillwise. Who else can identify with younger heroes and hang with the grown ups like Nightwing? He's cool with EVERYONE, JSA got his back(frequent team ups), he's a well respected member of the Justice League(leader), Ex-Outsiders(leader), former Titans(leader), former Teen Titan(leader), one-time JLA taskforce(stand in for bats), c'mon. That's an impressive resume. Knowing that, you can't just outcast Nightwing from the rest of the DCU then throw Batman on nearly every team roster..
they haven't retconned his time on Teen Titans.Ever since he's gone back to the Nightwing alias this is the only question that's bothered me. How can he not be on a team?? That's the best news I've heard all week. :)
Will the Secret Six exist after the reboot/relaunch ?
If not DC could do something with that.
I would like to see him get a side kick. I mean since he became batman then stopped he has become Bruce's equal at nearly everything except acrobatics and speed at which he has surpassed him. He deserves to have a side kick i was thinking maybe phoenix? He is another batman so he deserves to have a robin.

I like the idea of an unofficial sidekick but i wouldn't like the idea of such a clingy sidekick that they rename his book Nightwing and Wingknight or anything

I didn't mean anything like that. I was thinking more like a red robin age side kick who works solo but is being advised, taught and goes on patrol with him.

I think giving him a Flamebird would be pretty cool.
I actually made a thread on this!

Me too! He's never actively served on the roster(As Nightwing)

As an antagonist/anti-protragonist (for lack of a better term) okay, but not actual part of the team.
I'd like him to make his own team of Outsiders:
- Nightwing
- Power Girl/Donna Troy
- Wally West
- Kyle Rayner
- Damage
- And you get the idea. Lower class A-Listers, with some B listers in the mix.
Have they said that Batman on JLI is Bruce? I think it would be hilarious if Dick were doing double duty as Nightwing and Batman on the JLI to increase the Batman mystery. That or be part of the JLA once they catch up to the present. The founders are there but other people have been shown in the promotional art like Element Woman and Mera so maybe Nightwing can be in there too.

Holy smoke, Vamp that's an excellent line-up! I'd never even heard of Damage up until you mentioned him. Dude is serious business. I'd just throw in a couple intangibles like changing the team name to Justice League Taskforce(A splinter faction of JLA in charge of special ops) and providing cavalry for other groups. While JLI handles the covert stuff, JLT can take on cases that call for established, versatile heroes.

That actually crossed my mind on several occasions. The JLI batman definitely looks and sounds like Bruce so idk.
@SmoothJammin: Yeah, he was part of the original Titans volume. Him, Jessie Chambers, Argent, Starfire among with the original 5 TTs. It was pretty badass. The reason I didn't mention Chambers is because we already have Wally in there and Argent is kinda meh and GL is already there, so the need isn't great.

I wouldn't mind this.
Honestly, DC's wasting the character a bit if they don't put him on a team. At the very least a few team ups are in order for our boy.
Give him the Outsiders again. The team could consist of the characters who got shafted by the new 52 and the last decade/silver age revival of DC comics continuity. I'd like to see Dick, Wally, and Donna as the teams big three.
http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/02/18/siike-donnelly-explodes-at-megacon-the-return-of-wally-west-donna-troy-and-darkseid/
Something I dug up from bleeding cool while frequenting the Nightwing fansite. Apparently Donna and Wally still exist but since DC's focus is on de-aging the classic heroes, their returns have been put on hold. Reading this helps me embrace the idea that any sort of team book involving the original titans is still very plausible. It's good to know that fans outcries are finally being heard. A reimagined Outsiders book works just fine.
I don't think DC realise the potential of Nightwing. I want to see him leading his own team, heck, I want him leading the Justice League in the future!
But Seriously, Bruce even said himself that Dick was a natural born leader, he commands respect from those around him. Did anyone read battle for the cowl? He single handedly set up a network of heroes to protect Gotham when Bruce was gone. Geoff Johns even went as far as to say that Nightwing dying would have a greater effect on the DCU then Batman dying, as he has so many links to people in that universe. Just cut the bulls**t DC and get the man his own team!
I hate the idea that people actually want The Outsiders to become a dumping ground for heroes who didn't make it into the new 52, no disrespect meant. Wally is THE Flash and I honestly don't know too much about Donna but the Outsiders (like every other team in the DCU) has a theme. And Wally, Kyle, and Power Girl (from what I know of her) do not fit that theme.
