The cartoon is nothing like the comics xD but they do base some of their stories on classic TT arcs like Judas Contract, Terror of Trigon, etc. as well as many of their villains

Inefficient flow of blood to certain parts of the body other than the brain...it's a flaw many of us suffer. HIGH FIVE!

Dick's only flaw is that he's a slut.

Even though this post is like 5 years old, I'm still going to reply to this:

I'm sorry but I'm going to argue against this. Dick is NOT a slut. And there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with having a sexual relationship. I'm going to be strictly speaking Pre-52 details here as I disregard most things that are New 52.

Dick is first and foremost, a man who legitimately has only had sex with people he was in a relationship with. He's a physical person and he does not sleep around with someone unless he cares for them.

For one, Dick tends to be misconceived as a womanizer. Due to the fact that he is a highly desired man in the DCU and there are many woman who are attracted or express their liking towards him. Also because he himself is good-looking. This misconception is due to writers who wrote his character as a womanizer when he in fact, is not, and was never at the beginning.

This issue initially stemmed from Dixon implying that Dick goes from woman to woman in Nightwing Vol 2, issue 25. Stating that he had a "handful" of women he's been with. But in fact, he's only had two serious relationships - Kory & Babs. So really, this list is not credible. Dixon does however, emphasize Dick's sex appeal among woman but he also emphasizes that Dick has no real desire to take advantage of this or flirt around.

After Dixon's run, Devin Grayson took over. Which again, one of the worst runs because she had a terrible interpretation of Dick Grayson. She wrote him as a man who had commitment issues and flirted with any women even though he was in a serious relationship with Babs. Which is the #1 thing that Dick would never do. I could go on about this with facts but I'll just leave it at this. Either way, she wrote him as someone who never had a history of exhibiting these habits.

Afterwards, we get Bruce Jones. Who wrote Dick having a one-night stand with a women who he didn't even know the name of. Again, poorly misinterpreted his character (and this was probably a result of Devin G's run).

I do blame this on editorial interference though because of the direction they decided to push Dick towards. Labeling him as a womanizer (for what reason though? It definitely does not appeal to the greater mass) After Dick Jones leaves, we get Wolfman. Marv Wolfman WHO co-created Nightwing and wrote him as a man who was serious about his relationships. He was committed and faithful and and was the one to establish Dick as a righteous man and not someone who was promiscuous. Who then proceeded to ret-con a love interest for him, someone named Liu. But she's heavily disregarded by the fandom. She seduced Dick and used him then cheated on him to gain access to Wayne Enterprises. An unnecessary relationship (just to create drama) and the fact that it's a ridiculous plot because Dick wouldn't fall for such a thing. Again, a trend with unnecessary focus on Dick's so-called relationships.

But after this run, the writers after changed course and finally stopped making Dick look like a womanizer. Tomasi, Synder & Daniel wrote Dick as a character, focusing on his development as a hero versus unnecessarily focusing on his relationships that really, did not exist.

    So recapping.

Dick has had 2 serious relationships

    - Kory: who he dated for a long time (4+ years). It was serious and they loved each other and she brought so much to his life and gave him affection when he most needed it.

    - Babs: who he has liked and spent time chasing after and waiting for her to come around. Seriously, the guy was SO patient. They have a different type of passion than Kory & Dick, mature and grounded, yet flirtatious.

1 semi-serious but genuinely interested relationship

    - Clancy: Dick's landlord that he dated. He was interested in her and he kept trying to go on dates but they'd always get cancelled or he would bail half way through because work calls. But they're relationship ended when he realized that he loved someone else (that being Babs WHICH he did NOT date at the time he was dating Clancy) so he ended it with her but they remained as friends.

Other "relationships" that really shouldn't even be on the list

    - Miggie: He only went on one date with her in Nightwing vol 1 (the 4 issue series). They went out for coffee once and she stole a kiss from him. He was interested in her because she was nice. Though that went no where as she murdered her father. But really, this was just ONE date.

    - Emily: Dick married Emily for a case. It was a fake marriage and he only did it because he thought she murdered her husbands (2) and wanted to catch her. He slept on the freaking couch and was always gone (because he was out trying to solve the case)

    - Deborah: A civilian he dated when he was living in New York near the end of the NW run. She was only a minor character and we never saw her and Dick having sex.

    - Liu: who I don't even want to count because she was clearly ret-conned really late in the comics run.

    Two one-night stands

    - Huntress: written by Devin G. where Helena came onto him in a moment of loneliness and Dick took the bait. They had absolutely no chemistry either so I don't even know how the one-night stand stemmed from. But afterwards, Dick regretted his decision and felt awful and also verbally stated he does not do casual relationships / sex

    - Cheyenne: A woman he slept with when he moved to New York written by Bruce Jones and he didn't know her name. And that was pretty much it

    Two counts of sexual assault

    - Mirage: One of Dick's teammates who can shape-shift. Who impersonated Kory because she wanted to sleep with Dick. And yes, they did sleep together because Dick believed that he was sleeping with his girlfriend. I call this BS writing due to the fact that Dick probably should have noticed something or suspected (but even if he didn't), they never treated him as a victim of rape. But okay, let's just disregard that fact and proceed to slut-shame a man who honest to god, thought he was having sex with his girlfriend but instead, was sleeping with someone else without his knowledge or consent

    - Tarantula: (courtesy of Devin G.), a villain who was working with Dick at the time, killed Blockbuster (his arch-nemesis who was ruining his life). He let her do it and he was devastated after because he broke his moral code. A code that Dick lives by. Feeling crushed and defeated and heavily guilt ridden, Tarantula takes advantage of him and basically, yeah, rapes him. Even though he clearly, CLEARLY sad no. And yes, Devin G. did in fact state that it was rape in her interview. Google search and you can find the article.

So really, Dick has dated quite a few woman but he has NOT slept with all of them.

So in conclusion, he is not a slut and that is a false accusation and misconception and in no way, should it even be a flaw (for anyone). If anything, Roy Harper is a promiscuous man who practically sleeps with anyone and has no morals about it, yet, we are not slut-shaming him are we? Even in fiction, it's rude to call someone a slut for how they approach and handle relationships and dating.

On to answering the question though -

Dick and Bruce in a sense, are alike but are greatly different. Dick Grayson is a man who has a serious persona but is also, friendly and trusting. He's sociable and likes to joke but he is really serious when it comes to his job. He is the type of person to put his job first and knows when to differentiate between play time and real work. He can often be upfront to people in order to solve conflict and he's not afraid to do it.

When Dick is leading a team, he's similar to Bruce. He's strict and often times, can be mean and straightforward, especially to those who he thinks are not taking things seriously enough. But he's also a good listener, strategist and detective. He is great at coordinating and offering advice as well as giving praise. He's not one to put a person down. He's respected in the superhero community as a leader and one of the MOST trusted heroes in DCU because of his moral code. Like, he can vouch for someone and they will trust him. He once stopped the JL from fighting and interfering with the Teen Titans and they listened to him and left.

Bruce often mentions that he is proud of Dick and that there is no better man than Dick Grayson. He even goes so far as to say that Dick is the one thing he has done right in his entire life.

Even though he appears light-hearted, Dick is very stubborn, as stubborn as Bruce. When he believes something is right, he will argue against it. And he refuses to compromise his morals for something he thinks is wrong. This makes him strict but also gives his credence in making him a trust-worthy man.

Dick is a caring man, and has a lot of empathy for others. He will legitimately sacrifice his personal life to help others out, even if it's a stranger. He constantly puts others before himself and tries to be there for his friends. Though he himself is not one to express his own emotions, often bottling them up. He often uses a defense mechanism to avoid opening up when he does not want to.

Bruce though- is a complicated man. He's known to be the asshole and he often is but he does show (very rarely) that he does care. He is a man of action rather than words and has a terrible problem of expressing his emotions. So sometimes, his actions are misread and come out in the wrong way. He doesn't do it intentionally but he's just not good at expressing himself.

Bruce's way of operating, is that he's a bit of a control freak. He tends to give only necessary details and does not say more and is not always trusting of others. He's always planning and of course, is a great detective but he's not always a team player. Because of how he is, he often gets in arguments (especially with the Batfamily). But Bruce does have a witty sense of humor (like when you see him smirking every rare chance).

Bruce however is, very dependable despite him being an asshole at times. He is a moral man and always stays true to his morals and is a mentor figure. Even though Dick is also a great mentor (especially to Damian because he has better patience than Bruce. However; he's not really all that patient and is often quick to snap as well). Anyways, Bruce is difficult to work with, and blunt. He has high expectations for other people and is often, distrustful.

In terms of detective skills and fighting skills, yes, Bruce is better. But Dick Grayson is just as good.

Such as in the Batman run which Dick took over the mantle, the GCPD (as Gordon had told Dick) prefers him over the old Batman (Bruce's) because he is easy to work with. And the city also seems to like him better as well because he does a good job of wrapping things up and keeps the crime scene very clean to the point that it makes the job of the GCPD a lot easier.

    Suggestions:

If you really want to read a GOOD Nightwing series or learn about Dick Grayson's character (before everyone decided to make him a womanizer for a few runs). I would highly recommend New Teen Titans (until the story went way off...), Nightwing (by Chuck Dixon) and the Batman run when Dick took over the mantle. Dick appears in Batman, Detective Comics and Batman and Robin Reborn by Grant Morrison (great serious).

Highly HIGHLY recommended - Batman Black Mirror (one of the best Batman comics).
