    Sooooo Good! 4

I've said it before and I will continue to say it.Detective Comics has become my favoriteBatman title. Sure I enjoy the humorous interaction between Batman (Dick) and Robin (Damian) in their joint title. Grant Morrisoncontinues to wow us with his Silver Age updates in Batman, Incorporated. It's been Scott Snyder's take on Dick as Batman (along with Francesco Francavilla and Jock on art) that has had me full of suspense each issue.  If you've been reading Detective Comics, you know that James Gor...

Commissioner Gordon Can Definitely Be A Star 0

Lost Days is another issue of Detective Comics where Scott Snyder proves he is the best Batman writer around, and he does it this time with Batman barely appearing. This is Commissioner Gordon's story, and it is every bit as compelling as any caped crusader's.  Grant Morrison gets a lot of the attention for bring bringing back characters and stories that have been lost to limbo, but Snyder really steals that show with his reintroduction of the long lost James Gordon Jr. This issue does an excell...

The Crowning Achievement of Batman Continuity! 0

In this Detective Comics issue, Jim Gordon is going to put down an old case. For years, Jim has tried to capture the infamous "Peter Pan Killer", but he has always escaped Jim's fingertips. However now, Jim Gordon has new information that will allow him to put this old ghost case to rest, and also shed some light on his son James Gordon Jr!    Detective Comics is such a good title. Since Scott Snyder's run on the Detective Series, the comic has gotten more interesting and dark. Having Di...

    Truth in lies 0

The Story:  James Gordon Jr and and old case haunt Commisioner Gordon.  Are they connected?  Could this be a nightmare realized?  You'll have to read the issue to find out!  The Review: Scott Synder has crashed onto the comic book scene in an amazing way!  American Vampire launched with the help of none other than Steven King himself.  Then he lands in Gotham writing one DC's longest running series (no funny business the adding up canceled series) and has truly left a mark on the Batverse.  The ...

Gordon takes on the Peter Pan Killer 2

Commissioner Gordon finds himself trailing an old lead when his son James Jr. comes to town claiming to have been rehabilitated. Flashbacks to the night when everyone lost faith in James Jr.'s innocence seem to have something to do with a man who runs a cleaning company in Gotham. As the snow falls down on the city, Gordon follows the footprints of the company's owner, and learns shocking things about his own past and judgements.Written by Scott Snyder and drawn by Francesco Francavilla, this is...

    Holy Freakin' Wow! 0

I loved this issue from cover to cover!  First time I can say that in 2011!  Wow!  I loved Bullock's section even though it didn't really have anything to do with the story.  I loved how it was drawn and coloured and how his narration squares were drawn.  And Gordon's story was insane.  I loved how slow and methodical it was - perfect for a book called Detective Comics!  I also loved the backstory into his life.  And the shock ending!  Man!  I can't wait to get to the next one.  Snyder really hi...
