Detective #843 3

I have to say I love what Paul Dini has been doing with his run of the Detective Comics lately, and this one was pretty good. I read it twice, which for me is unusual. I love Zatanna in this, she's fresh and well written and she's got a thing for Bats but then again, what girl doesn't? I really liked reading her in this issue.What is up with the new ventriloquist??? I am on the edge of my seat and can't wait for the next issue...SPOILER ALERTThe last scene is awesome, what will happen to our her...

"Nah. I Just Moved to a Softer Lap." 0

Looks like Scarface has a new dummy! And this one isn't a single issue story! All right!It starts off with a fire at a new club that was going to open. After stopping it, Batman suspects fowl play from the Penguin. (Yeah, I said that.) But he denies it. Thanks to Batman's interference, the club still has a grand opening, and hires Zatanna for the opening show. (There's Dini for ya!)Since the original plan failed, Scarface decides to take the direct approach to the club owner. But he doesn't want...

Careful of the Cassowary 0

This was a good read. We start off with a full page panel with Batman carrying a terrified guard over a lava pit. Ahhh... is that not how all good stories start? No?  Well, then they must start with the sweet-talking of a sexy blond chick, right? Because that happens next.  Batman makes his typical entrance - silent and surprising. He accuses Penguin of sabotaging Johnny Sabatino's club. And we're off to Vegas!  Zatanna is headlining the opening night at Sabatino's club - we quickly discover Bru...
