fedspaz's Detective Comics #638 - The Bomb review

    The Bomb.

The Bomb is taken from an Army base and Batman is called in to find it.  The bomb is actually a person that can create explosions.  No one is sure how this happens and the Army claims they are keeping the bomb to protect the people of Gotham.  Making the Bomb out to be a ruthless, crazy killing machine.
Batman is suspicious from the beginning and uses his great sleuthing skills to figure things out.   Who is really the bad guy, The Bomb, the Army, or someone else?
This issues feels thick to the touch and the story is good and long.  There are twists and turns in here which are good, keep me guessing a little as to what is going on.
It's hard to say much about this issue without giving anything away.  I liked it and will keep it on the read again list.
The ending made me think.  What is truly important.  I don't know if the writers were trying to get a point like that across, but it did make me take a moment to sit there and ponder the important things and what makes us who we are and what's beautiful in life.
