One of the seven Endless, inconceivably powerful beings, Death is both lord and personification of all death and life. She is well known for being the opposite of what most people think death is like; rather than being an ominous figure, she is a friend to all under her auspice.
@tdk_1997: But Death has stated that she loves everyone.
To a point. She says this to Hazel in Death: The Time of Your Life #3 and further extrapolates on it in Action Comics #894, informing Lex invoking her sympathy never fails. The biggest discrepancy to acknowledge, however, is how she treats mortals compared and contrasted to her family. Genuine fear and anxiety swept over her when Dream went to confront Lucifer in Hell, as if she feared his death. More over, we gain insight on this later when Morpheus does die, as we see Death grieve. So while she may "love" everyone, it's the sort of love you'd see between friends, nothing more, nothing less (until you piss her off).
Hunter: The Age of Magic actually answers this to an extent. The character Arawn Scudder basically is the DC Thanos who kills a bunch of people to get her love, pursues her with creepy raper stalker issues, is literally poised to make her his 'adoring concubine' and then it goes horribly wrong for him and she says 'sorry, you're not my type' and sees him dragged off to Hell. Thanos would fare equally poorly (but would also be the type to get that same true name thing and do horrible things with it).
