    The Merc & The Fist

Synopsis: In this issue Deadpool teams up with Danny Rand aka Iron Fist to take down a centuries old villain.

    The Good:

    The Art!
Nick Dragotta's art in this issue is really spectacular. I flipped through a few pages at my LCS and was immediately hooked. I wasn't familiar with much of his work beforehand but I am definitely a fan now.

    The Action:
We start out with Deadpool surrounded by a group of armed thugs. After feeling slighted (Deadpool was upset because they thought he was Spider-Man) he shows off some of his distinctly "un-Spider-Man karate moves". He even verbally announces them as he delivers them. Pretty funny stuff and one of the things I really liked about this issue. A team up with Iron Fist soon follows and we get to see Wade's awesome healing factor and his extremely underatted battle savvy on full display. Throw in Danny's typical awesome kung fu mastery and the action really never stops.

    The Banter:
Wade really delivers some funny lines in this issue. When Iron Fist first arrives he asks Wade if he has run out of ammo. Wade's response: "Yes and I forgot my yellow slippers and glowy hands too." The running gag of Wade being mistaken for Spider-Man is very funny and not overly used in this issue.

    The Bad:
    It was only one issue!

    Overall:
This is just a fun comic with tons of action and witty dialogue. One of the best Deadpool issue's I've read in quite some time. It plays to Wade's strengths very well.

      Not bad 0

I'll keep this short and sweet, but still try to provide some insight.  Deadpool Team - Up sucks, it's the second worse Deadpool series out there (behind The Deadpool Corps), while it has had a few good issues it's all pretty much the same. Deadpool meets hero, they fight, they team up, they fight bad guy, the end. Repeat that same formula over and over again and you have the entire Deadpool Team-Up series.  No character development, no substance, no good.  I gotta give props to Shane McCarthy f...
