Review Deadpool #30
Deadpool is hired by Vampires (or as he refers to them "Draculas") to stop a group of other Vampires (Draculas) from destroying the human race.
The Good
According to the cover of the book, this is a tie-in with the "Curse of the Mutants" storyline. However, don't let that fool you. This is barely a tie-in. Yes, the events take place during the Curse of the Mutants storyline, but it doesn't really "tie" anything in together. It's a fun stand-alone issue. As always, the art and writing are extremely solid, and Daniel Way has really done some great and hilarious things with this character during his run. Now, onto the jokes. Nothing is funnier than Deadpool shooting up a bunch of "Draculas" to buy time to put on some pants. There are also some beautifully romantic and hilarious moments between Deadpool and a hospital employee that will for sure give you a great laugh or two. One thing I really enjoy about this book, and especially about this issue is that things happen almost on accident in favor of Wade.
The Bad
I hate the fact this is considered a tie-in issue. I know there's people out there that buy every tie-in to an event. Some of those people don't have a sense of humor, and I don't think they'd enjoy this book. Lots of assumptions there.
