    What Will Deadpool's Fate Be?

I have missed a lot of this series but was able to get issues 55-62 at the same time I got this the final issue of Daniel Way's 65 issue run (this includes two point issues). Due to waiting for the others so I could read them before I read this issue (as it makes sense) it has taken me longer to produce a review for it but I have now. I have enjoyed what I've read of Way's run and although it has had it's ups and downs with some issues and stories being better than others they have all been fun and true to the Deadpool character. He has also introduced Deadpool to new foes like Hit-Monkey (one of my favourite things to come out of this series) as well as pitting him against old foes in some of the most funniest fight's I have ever seen in comics. This issue I however didn't like the art and wish either previous Deadpool artists like Alé Garza, Salvador "Salva" Espin, Shawn Crystal or Deadpool cover artist Dave Johnson could have done the art for this issue as I fell that Andrade's art in my opinion wasn't good enough for the last issue of the Deadpool series. I will however give credit as the art suited Deadpool himself as a character but not the other characters and the comic as a whole.

This issue sees Deadpool face T-Ray and Slayback who are protecting Alison Kemp a tetraplegic who has lured (with the help of Taskmaster) Deadpool to her to get revenge cause Deadpool set the explosion that left her a tetraplegic. Deadpool goes through Slayback down easily with a bomb in a parachute, but he is then left to deal with T-Ray who isn't as easy to kill as Slayback was. T-Ray raps a barbell he thinks Deadpool has rigged with explosives around Deadpool and takes him to Alison to decide his fate.

This was a slightly disappointing ending and it's a shame as the precious 8 issues have all been brilliant. I feel that there wasn't enough action from Deadpool this issue and was a bit disappoint after seeing him coming in with guns blazing to have him getting taken down easily and taken to Alison for her to tell him about all the pain he's caused her and how she's been waiting for this moment for so long. Although I said that I was disappointed about how Deadpool was taken down easily it was a small reprieve to find out it was all part of his plan (as the detonator was the bomb and the so the only way to blow up T-ray was for T-Ray to blow himself up thinking he was blowing up Deadpool). I also though Slayback getting killed early on was a bit of a waste and would have liked to have seen Deadpool fighting both him and T-Ray. I did however think that the way Slayback was killed was very smart. I did however like the wee cameo at the end of the issue by Evil-Deadpool. The ending itself was however a bit of a let down, and although I like cliffhangers I think the set-up to this cliffhanger wasn't right, and I would have much rather the series actually have an ending.

Final verdict. Although a bit disappointing this was still a good issue but not a good end to Way's run. I would recommend it to people who have got the last few issues or the entire run but would advice to not think of this as an ending. I'm now looking forward to seeing what Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan will do with the character in the new series and am looking forward to the Deadpool video game that will be scripted by Daniel Way himself.
