These Deadpool covers have been a consistent delight, ranging wildly in genre, but keeping a consistently hilarious tone. This one is no exception, I mean...... it's Deapool in a boxing ring punching out Abraham Lincoln. What more could you want?Deadpool is getting back into the swing of braking the fourth wall, but not in an overbearing sense. At first it appears he's just going for a subtle sense of providing entertainment to those who he secretly knows are reading his exploits, but then he tr...

Deadpool #4 Review 0

***SPOILER FREE REVIEW***I flat out loved the first 3 issues of the current run of Deadpool, as the story has been wacky and filled with humor that I quite enjoy. Unfortunately, this issue suffers as writers Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan have to push the metaphorical fast forward button to finish this plot arc by the next issue. We get alot of fun dialogue, similar to every issue of the current run and Deadpool. No doubt about it, Posehn and Duggan have a fun and zanny grasp on how to write Deadp...

The Boring and the Worn-Out and the Really Tedious 0

I liked the first issue a lot (as did everyone else). The second issue was good, too but with the third I felt some fatigue. Now this issue goes way over the top. Why would I still want to see Deadpool killing dead presidents? For four issues? Really? The same jokes in different variations, again and again and again. You know there is a problem when you read a joke, appreciate its creativity but feel no desire to be amused. It's just too much. The art is also still good but it's still just more ...

Lucky Shot, Dead-Timer 0

Zombie-fied selves of deceased presidents are causing havoc in New York City. Deadpool, his buddy Ben Franklin and a few S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are in charge of dealing with likes of JFK, Hoover and Abraham Lincoln. Determined to take care of them, he goes through great lengths, but what happens when he squares off with Abe Lincoln in the ring? The GoodDeadpool is in great hands with this creative team. Posehn and Duggan's take on Deadpool just about sums up Wade's character. Like Deadpool, the stor...

Hi-Yo Sudsy Away! 0

It's the brawl to end them all "merc with a mouth" Deadpool vs the esteemed vampire killer Abe Lincoln. This is one of the more entertaining books I'm reading. Deadpool is continuing to take out the evil zombie Presidents. He tricks JFK by dressing up as a very convincing Marilyn Monroe, he stops a plot to blow up the Golden Gate Bridge, and saves the Hoover Dam. Even better he gets to enjoy a burrito. While at the Hoover Dam, some of the President's get away, but Deadpool is able to throw his pho...

Even Deadpool Had a Montage 0

I have been really enjoying this series, and have loved each issue that has been out so far, and this series is looking to be the best Deadpool series ever. Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan have done an excellent job of writitng this series, along with Tony Moore's fabulous artwork, and I hope it's as good as this for a long time.PlotThis issue sees Deaddpool face many of the remaining undead presidents, including John F. Kennedy., Herbert Hoover, and more. It also sees Deadpool finally square off ...

Deadpool Hadouken! 0

THE OVERVIEW:Deadpool is still off hunting dead presidents and this week's issue even features a cage match between the title character and one of the more popular historical figures, Abraham Lincoln. Get ready for some sword-slashing, some in-your-face "fourth wall" moments, and of course some silly remarks from the one and only Marvel character who can do all of that in one book... the Merc with a Mouth! Now before I begin this review, I just want to say that for the record, I am a huge Deadpoo...

The Ultimate Fight: The Merc With A Mouth vs. Honest Abe 0

so ever since MARVEL NOW! has started i've been enjoying this series immensely still has the same old Deadpool with a new twist. In this issue we see Deadpool having to take down Lincoln, Kennedy, and some of the minor lesser-known presidents so it's a good zombie-killing-chimichanga-eating good time.THE GOOD:like i said this issue is very good. first we see Deadpool fighting Kennedy in a Marilyn Monroe outfit which is EXTREMELY funny and hilarious to see what JFK says. the next few pages finall...

Deadpool #4 0

There might be undead Presidents on the rise with an evil agenda at remaking the United States, but for them to succeed they have to go through Deadpool. In this fourth issue, it's Abe vs. Deadpool in a battle to the death! The GoodThis is the best DEADPOOL title in years! Daniel Way might have written stories for the character more than anyone, but the creative minds [wrtiers Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan and artist Tony Moore and Val Staples] have made DEADPOOL a title worth picking up every mo...

A Punch to the Face 0

As much as I've disliked this series in the past, this issue really takes the cake for me. It overuses the breaking of the fourth way even more than the last issue did, it intentionally rushes through a lot of segments because the plot is too unwieldy as it is, the jokes are unfunny, the characters are overly chauvinistic, and on a couple of occasions there's literally no logic or explanation for what happens, specifically towards the end. I can't say this enough; this series is poorly conceive...
