    Review: Deadpool #23 0

    After being insulted by a club owner on TV, Deadpool heads out to Vegas for an encounter with an old friend/foe.  The Good I was so pleased to see this issue call back to the classic Joe Kelly run on Deadpool, with the return of "the box" and the reveal of the House's true identity. Actually, the House was definitely the highlight of this issue. He's got that hilarious card-themed gimmick and Barberi makes him (and this new Wildcard guy, too) look so damn slick.     Seriously, after the Hit-Monkey arc, I was on the cusp of giving this book up, but the past couple of issues have won me back in a big way. The big thing you need to know is, Deadpool's in Vegas, and he's looking to make some cash. Of course, there's always a catch, and this time, it comes in the form of an old friend of Wade's. I'll leave it to you to figure out who that is, but it's pretty damn obvious. We get to see a lot of the funny, and it works, and the action is pretty much great all aro...

    I'm obviously a Gischler fan over Way, but that doesn't mean I don't think Daniel Way can't write a good Deadpool story. When Daniel Way first created the book, I remember him saying that he didn't want this to become "Deadpool and Friends" which was kind of disappointing to me because what makes Deadpool funny is the characters he hangs out with. All of Deadpool's side characters bring an element of comedy...  Weasel is the nerdy bad ass who Deadpool often makes fun of for being as strong as a ...
