Prelude to Final Crisis
Who are the milestones of DC Universe? Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, Green Arrow, the Justice League. And when all these heroes are about to face their most difficult times, that´s when you are sure who´s Earth greatest defender. This is a very colorful and interesting glimpse of the Final Crisis event and I really liked it because showed a preview of Blackest Night, the return of Flash and that Batman would been "killed" by the hands of Darkseid (how the Joker knew it, I don´t have a clue). The Final Crisis is interesting because it put things in quite a simple way of seeing them: black and red. There are only good and bad, light and shadow, nothing else, and that´s when you discover who is the real hero (like Superman) and who can´t resist evil for long (like Wonder Woman). I only have to say two more words: George Perez! That´s reason enough to buy this: what a beautiful cover and amazing art (Legion)! Also there are good samples from Ivan Reis (Green Lantern), Aaron Lopresti (Wonder Woman), Tony Daniel (Batman), Ed Benes (JLA), J.G. Jones and Carlos Pacheco (the Rogues with Libra).
