Yes the action is good, and lighthearted. It is funny and the movie maintains its tone throughout.

Alright so I have a weird ranking lol.

1. Man Of Steel - besides some stupid scenes like Superman allowing his dad to die, this movie was beautifully done. Visually and the soundtrack. Also, some of the best action scenes ever in a superhero movie.

2. Shazam - The movie just works. The acting was great. The tone stays consistent throughout. A well developed villain and well developed characters. Very high potential for a great franchise. I can’t wait until the sequel as there are so many aspects to explore.

3. WW - great movie. Absolutely necessary after the failures of BvS and Suicide Squad. The 3rd act just ruins it a little bit.

4. Aquaman - Honestly, if we take out the fantastic visuals and scale of the 3rd act, the movie itself was just not very good lol.

@mr_shazam0920: did u feel the shazam family was premature? I was expecting it a sequel but not the first go around. The shazam family would have been more impactful when he fights black Adam.

That would have definitely been ripped right from the N52 storyline but no. I don’t think it was premature. I like how they were introduced with the whole council scene.

@mr_shazam0920: with mr. Mind and sivana teamed up, I'm curious who will else will be a part of the monster society. The way he spoke sounds like he isn't from outer space and he has some knowledge about magic.

@mr_shazam0920: I felt it was a let down about Billy's parents. His dad being in jail seems like a cliche stolen from Barry Allen's dad while his mom being realistic about not being a good mom. I guess I'm a sentimentalist. I preferred the original tale where both his parents are loving archeologists and they were murdered by theo "black" adam.

Was there any Black Adam references? As in anything that hints his existence?

Yes. He wasn’t named, but the wizard explained how after one champion went bad he vowed to only look for someone with a pure soul.

Oh I agree about the parents 100%. But I guess that was essential to Billy’s character in this movie for him to start loving his real family.

Before I watched the movie I was told to read up on the new Rebirth Shazam series. Mr Mind mentioned the 7 realms. Looks like they’re going to explore that more. Which is awesome. I think they’re currently in the Funlands right now in the comics.

Makes for a potentially incredible sequel. Hopefully this movie really kicks off at the box office so the sequel can get a budget increase.

It just fell into a crack so hopefully they come up with something dynamic for this diabolical team up. It may lead to an invasion of the brain snatchers though since Mr mind can infiltrate via cerebral

@mr_shazam0920: I know what u mean. They gave him those bulging eyes like in the comics. I was hoping it would be realistic like with actual bug eyes. The crocodile men were from another dimension. They showed Tawny as a stuffed animal. I was hoping to see what else is in the rock of eternity.
