What's this, more DC Revamp titles and creator information? Earlier this morning we had the news dealing with the harder edge characters like Deathstroke, Grifter, Sgt. Rock, Jonah Hex as well as teams such as Stormwatch and Blackhawks.

Now in an almost sneaky, not-released-first-thing-in-the-morning move, DC's the Source has revealed not one, but two more titles.

The first you can see to the right here. That, ladies and gentlemen, is none other than Harley Quinn. I guess you can say she has a new costume. Either that or she forgot to put the rest on.

Harley can be seen in Suicide Squad #1 along with Deadshot and King Shark. Suicide Squad is a team of death-row super villains recruited by the government to take on dangerous missions. How dangerous? So dangerous that agreeing to go on them would be seen as...suicidal.

Suicide Squad will be written by Adam Glass with art by Marco Rudy.

Now the next announcement deals with Blue Beetle. Which Blue Beetle will it be (or will it be a new new one)?

Jaime Reyes fans can relax as we will see him in Blue Beetle #1. He still has to deal with high school, family and all the teenage drama.

On top of that, he has the powerful scarab created by an alien race who seek to subjugate planets or annihilate them. Jaime has decided to use it as a force for good.

Blue Beetle #1 will be written by Tony Bedard and illustrated by Ig Guara and Ruy Jose.

Fascinated by this new Suicide Squad, never much cared about Blue Beetle of any variety.

Blue Beetle Looks cool! hope it does better than the last series. They need to keep it fast paste and technical.

That breaks my heart seeing a Suicide Squad title on the relaunch, the most likely means there will be no Secret Six. What a shame.

The Super___ books are being announced tomorrow morning, then that should be it for the 52.

P.S.  I must admit I had a "thing" for Harley before, but combined with this goth look... be still my beating heart.

Jamie looks essentially the same (which is good) but that looks more like Argent from the Teen Titans cartoon than Harley to me. I'm surprised they didn't take her look straight from Arkham City.

I'm actually digging Harley's look. Makes me curious.

I'm unsure how I feel about Harley's new design since I find it somewhat unrecognizable but I'm excited for the Blue Beetle reboot it's a fantastic series

New Harley Quinn re-design is a big NO for me.

So much for the realistic look they were going for.  The only way I could see Harley's new costume helps is to distract people by the chance of her constantly falling out of her costume.

@doordoor123: Booster being the focus of the JLI book isnt really the same. He has a really fantastic solo book, and he cant do his Time Master duties in the JLI ongoing. They are two seperate beasts.

With the new look I'm gonna guess that Harley is going to be a slightly darker character. Which is cool but I'm gonna miss that happy go lucky crazy psychiatrist and her iconic harlequin costume...

Ugh. I do not like this Harley at all. I think it's actually worse than the redesign in the video game.
 
And I don't particularly care for that interpretation of Jaime. I don't like it when some artists bulk up characters that I don't think should be built as much. It really makes them harder to distinguish when they all have the same body type, which is something I really hate seeing.
 
Naturally our superheroes are gonna be in tip top physical shape, but I think there should be a distinct difference between characters like Spider-Man as opposed to someone like say, Superman.  This should lend itself to silhouette based design. Sure, most characters are wearing skin tight spandex and are practically naked, but that should be more reason to differentiate them in ways that make silhouette logic come into play as much as it can, and body types is one of them.
 
All in all, thank goodness he didn't get a redesign.

Harley... um..... no. Just no. Go put your regular outfit back on. 

On top of Harley Quinn looking completely awful (way to appeal to the lowest common denominator, DC) King Shark looks way too cute.

That recent King Shark dream scene of his personal Hell in Secret Six where the team is in Hell was HILARIOUS.  
 
Thank GOD Jaime is still Blue Beetle. I don't think I could handle the return of another boring old guy (Ted Kord) for nostalgia's sake. I feel the same about Hal Jordan, Barry Allen and Ray Palmer.

The only thing I was hanging onto was that maybe Ted Kord would be resurrected in this revamp and he'd be Blue Beetle again...alas...I have officially 100% written off DC and this inevitable disaster...

With this changes on Harley, DC kill another great character...

I'd actually already read that interview, and SImone (more than most) was very candid in how the new relaunch/reboot is going to work, specifically how the clock is being wound back to make the upper echelon significantly younger. I'm not saying that I expect/want/care if Ted Kord is coming back.

Also, the new Batgirl book is on the top of my list of books that I'm excited about on the DCnU solicits.

when they say dc revamp do they mean that this will be a new main dc universe???

Firstly, Suicide Squad has peaked my interest. I'll most likely be reading it.  
 
Secondly, and most importantly, Im sitting on the fence about this new Harley. I kinda like, and kinda hate the design. If this were a brand spanking new character, I would think I would like it. But knowing that this is Harely Quinn saddens me just a bit.  
 
I loved her original costume. And honestly, I didnt mind her costume in the Batman Asylum game. But this new revamp....meh? Its sexy, sure, but as a female comic book enthusiast I feel my feminist senses tingling (yes, wrong comic universe, but hey.) I think what I liked so much about Harley- besides her innocently yet sadistic behavior- was her costume. It was FUNCTIONAL, it fit her villain persona/theme...I fail to see her character or functionality of this costume.  
 
Which begs the discussion: Is it, honestly, necessary to sex-up female comic book characters to make them appealing? Some make sense, Poison Ivy, but when you think Harely you dont think sex vixen. To me, its clear what this redesign is: a total fan service of sexy cliches.
