There's a new reason to wake up early on Saturday mornings. Cartoon Network and DC Comics recently launched DC Nation, an hour block of programming featuring the Green Lantern show and Young Justice. During the hour, animated shorts debut featuring other DC characters.

This Saturday at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network, the fun begins. In the fifth episode of Green Lantern: The Animated Series, "Heir Apparent," the Green Lanterns travel to Betrassus, a high tech yet medieval world, where they become embroiled in a murder investigation that could bring down Queen Iolande's kingdom before it even begins.

Is the Titans airing during GL or YJ?

Well, green lantern seems a little too star warsy not just in animation but plot structure as well.

I am uncomfortably reminded of the very first CGI-only series I ever watched when I see this GL...and that was Reboot.

I actually hate the Green Lantern animation, why couldn't the have used the Emerald Knights style.

Sorry, but an animated show with crappy CGI animation and poor character designs/voice work means an automatic NO for me.

Geez, why does DC even love GL so much, that movie sucked and was a massive flop, and they STILL wanna make money from this franchise...

The BEST thing to come out of this, in my opinion, is the return of the Teen Titans, which was one of the main reasons why I even got into DC comics in the first place. I do agree with the others that they should just bring back the show already and make new episodes, but hey, you can't get everything in life... :P

I love the little Teen Titans shorts because it reminds me of Tiny Titans, but even though I grew up watching Teen Titans I don't want a Season 6 for it. I would rather watch a reboot for Teen Titans (adding the characters like Donna and Wally), start fresh again with the animation-style like YJ. Though that's going to be impossible because of YJ, buy hey that's just me, I'm willingly to wait for years if they do make a reboot show of Teen Titans.

Yeah, I considered Trouble in Tokyo to be a satisfactory ending for the series. It worked pretty well.

I miss the Teen Titans, it never solved the problem if BB and Raven would finally get together or not, and I want to see that.

The Green Lantern show is kinda cool.

Do what Raven says BB she's your wife in my head canon.

So we know Cyborg or Raven didn't bake the cookies, and I'd imagine Robin to be a bit more upset if Beast Boy was about to eat his cookies.

DC has epic failed by doing GL in CGI it just distracts me as a viewer and distances me a bit from truely getting into it. They should have done it like the animated justice league movies. Green Lantern the Animated Series should have more detailed backgrounds and some more finer details on the characters bodies. The only thing really cool about this show is the righ constructs really pop color wise. I'm still watching every episode but the show always feels off.

I really like the GL animated series. I think its a lot of fun. Its alot like star wars though in that Hal is Han Solo, Kilowog is Chewie and the robot girl is C3PO. Also it has a bit star trek-ish thing to it too; flying around in their awesome spaceship helping people around the universe. It's light-hearted and fun. Also, I think the characters are played pretty well, except the red guy. He's a little cliche and boring.

Same here. You can't really making an ENDING for a superhero show though. I'm glad they didn't end it like with Robin becoming Nightwing or something. Cause then I would have just wanted them to continue it showing him as nightwing lol

GL is a decent cartoon, even if I don't like the animated style. The shorts always leave me scratching my head.

Tara Strong is the only voice I can put to Raven. I loved that version of the character and Starfire as well. It was fun show.

At least we'll get some shorts every so often.

Man I LOVE the TT shorts, and I think the shorts idea is awesome in genaeral, but since I record DC Nation the short that plays right after GL always has 2 or 3 seconds cut out of it while the recording transfers from Green Lantern to Young Justice! It is CRAZY frustrating!

Actually the slap at the end of Tokyo was a nudge at a form of comedy that's normal in japan, one where one 'straight man' acts as a counter to a goofball. Even from my limited experience with japanese cartoons I know that it's also in Naruto (with Naruto being the goof and the pink headed girl as the straight man).

Asides that, Raven and Beast Boy were written as an old married couple, the director of the show never intended them to be more than that. The comic however linked Raven more closely to the goth kid from Sisters.

I like the Dc nations better then the marvel cartoons
