i know this maybe a wierd question...

a while back DC Comics did a load of Zippo lighters based on Alex Ross posters...

does anyone know if there were many done? as far as i've been searching i can only come up with the Batgirl one, the one i actually own (two copies off, one for use and one still boxed.)

just wondering since the shop i got it from has now gone out of business, does anyone know if there are any more of these lighters about? maybe an entire JLA of them?

also, does anyone know where i can get them from now?

this is the zippo i have, and the poster it's based on... anyone have any different ones?

I had one along time ago. I was like 10. I think it was the Hulk or something, they took away from me at school. Ya burn down one library and everyone freaks out.

the two i am really after are Black Canary and Supergirl... i assume since the posters were done by alex ross, and basing my assumption on the batgirl one, the Zippo's should look something like this...

still hunting... after these and a few more supergirl statues to complete my collection... damn, didn't realise how many supergirl statues there were out there...

after doing a quick hunt i managed to track down a few of the decent supergirl statues, none of these i actually own 'yet' but will do at some point... my supergirl statue collection is 19 strong at the moment without these... and these are just 'some' of the many supergirl statues that have been done over the years...

strange fact, for some reason there are more supergirl statues than Superman statues.... at least thats what i've been able to find on the net... strange isn't it?

I don't think it's actually a KC exclusive image. Alex does a whole lot of posters and pinups of individual characters, and I believe that Cap one is just that. What page are you referring to?

Isn't it in the beginning, were there all standing there, the goods and the bads?

Found it in Ross's "Painted Heroes and Posters" section.

It isn't from the collage of characters at the beginning, because it depicts them all looking up:

the pic i'm thinking of is where he's just knowcked superman out of the air, just before the gulag explodes... there's something about the sneer on marvell's face that reminds me of that image, normally he's just smiling or grinning, that's a definite smirk

I know what you're referring to (KC was my bible for quite some time), but in that image Cap is at a different angle, while this one on the Zippo is straight-forward. Alex always depicts Marvel with the same smile on his face.

Dude thats what I'm saying, you can see in the pic with him looking down at Supes that his cape is blowing in the wind right, and in the first one its down on his shoulder.
