Poll Best Rebirth Book So Far (31 votes)

    Action Comics 23%
    Batman 19%
    Wonder Woman 16%
    Aquaman 10%
    Green Arrow 19%
    Titans 13%

A lot of the books seem to be hitting the end of their first arcs, so I figured it was a good time to ask.

Of those, Batman and Wonder Woman. Batman is tightly directed and makes use of itself as a visual medium. Wonder Woman is telling two slow but compelling stories: one with suspense, and one with charm. Aquaman is just behind them, with a solid political angle that has a lot of long-term potential.

Green Arrow is well-drawn, but poorly written, and relies too much on nostalgia appeal making up for a bland plot. Action Comics was six issues of repetitive Doomsday punching, with Jon and Lois providing play-by-play commentary. Titans is decent, but it hasn't made much headway into its plot, and Booth's art is slipping in recent issues.

In terms of reviews Wonder Woman,Superman and Detective are leading, personally it's Nightwing(minus night of turd men) and Deathstroke. Strange poll though, no Tec but Action? no Superman but Batman?

None of these books are my favorites but Batman is easily my least favorite though the cracks in GA are definitely showing, it's too reliant on nostalgia and sexy fan service, the book is overwritten and Titans is a cesspool of mediocrity which I was expecting from day one, Action was ok. Still atleast something happens in these books, Batman takes the cake because nothing happens and when it does it's just skipped over to the more important stuff aka Duke and Gotham Girl (sarcasm) and if we're lucky the writer will drop some exposition.

Superman is the highest rated book on comicbookroundup and isn't on the poll.

Superman is the best Rebirth book. Comic book fans not reading it are doing themselves a disservice.

Detective is far and away my favorite. Of the choices here, Batman.

I didn't expect much from Green Arrow, honestly, which hurts as a GA fan. However, I agree, that they think seeing Canary with Oliver was going to get a huge kick out of things. I think it's probably the second best-looking book DC has, but The Ninth Circle ended pretty anti-climatically.

I used to love reading Superman, but I just can't get behind this version of the character. Jon and Lois do nothing for me, and seeing Doomsday again? Eh.

In terms of reviews Wonder Woman,Superman and Detective are leading, personally it's Nightwing(minus night of turd men) and Deathstroke. Strange poll though, no Tec but Action? no Superman but Batman?

I honestly, used books I used to read to gauge interest on where they are. I read a little Batman post-Flashpoint, but not really a fan of the character, and I'll always read Action Comics over Superman. I also wanted to go with some of the bigger names along with my faves from Rebirth.

Glad you're liking Deathstroke. It's taking some getting used to, but it's not bad.

Superman is the highest rated book on comicbookroundup and isn't on the poll.

I can't. I can't really read any Superman now, because I don't care for the character. But, out of a little loyalty, I had to include Action Comics, which has always been the better Superman solo book to me.

I might have said detective Comics if that was on the list. Superman is also really good. Wound up choosing Batman though.

Probably Wonder Woman for me. I honestly thought that jumping between 2 stories would get annoying, but they're so different that I actually really enjoy it. Sure its mildly grating having to wait 4 weeks between each next installment of the story, but they're so completely different that I get into it.

Like I want to know what caused this sweet innocent Wonder Woman of the past to turn into the super bad*** Wonder Woman of the present. Is it tragic? Is it cool? Is it just time moving ever forward? I must know!

I have no idea how anyone waited 4 weeks just to receive a standard issue back when it was monthly publishing. They're so short there is no way I could possibly follow any kind of plot with just 12 issues a YEAR!

I read this thread with interest as I haven't started reading any of them because it has to be trades so I can get immersed in the storylines (and avoid advertising which kills the mood).
