    Grife!!

Time and place: 30th century Metropolis, Earth - Menace: an alien society named Blight that is consuming Earth and imprisioning all meta humans, heroes and humans - Defenses: a small group of the Legion, composed by XS, Chamaleon, Brainiac 5, Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, Monstress and Phantom Girl - Objective: infiltrate a place called Stem, stop the evil plans of Atrophos and free all Legionnares - Rate of Success: Close to zero - One of the best arc stories of the 90s and one of the first stories of DC that I´ve ever read was Legion Lost: I was mesmerized with the group, the variety of characters, the interesting dialogues of DnA and the great, still under construction art style of Olivier Coipel, so once I heard that DC was releasing this one shot I was sure that this was a must have and it didn´t let me down - this is a great story by DnA, amazing dialogues, a solid and cohesive narrative, no flaws in the continuity of the 4 issues published here, an interesting aproach of the characters, their bonds, their friendship, their beliefs, their strength, also a very creative and original plot: the concepts, the alien threat, the plan to defeat them, everything was in tune - also the incredible art of Olivier Coipel, still a little rough in the edges, nonetheless nothing but majestic - though sometimes this reminded me of Marvel´s Phalanx, I really loved reading this book, it´s a quick read, nothing boring, without repetition, very straight foward, nice dialogues, a light and balanced read. Highly Recommended!
