    A Perfect Comic

This story was phenomenal.  I loved every aspect of it.  Personally I am not a fan of the Justice Society of America (JSA) characters for the most part.  They for years seemed like a bad penny that kept coming back.  That said they are awesome here.  They are not written like they were in the Golden Age of Comics.  They are written like real people who lived in that time in the early 1940's.  They showed positive and negative personality traits that make them human but keeps them as heroes and not overly flawed.   They also portrayed a humerus side as well as having their own opinions and not all a bunch of ditto-heads.

I also liked the JLA who were just like the JSA in this book.  They showed ever bit the personalities of who I think they really would be like.  The banter between the two groups also made them  tremendously appealing.

Lastly the villains in this book were really awesome.  I never heard of Spider Slick or Fly Finn but this book made them a really neat pair of Super-villains.  They were every-bit as appealing as some of Batman's DC Animated Universe, rebooted, classic villains like Mr. Freeze and the Ventriloquist.  I'm not even sure if this is their fist appearance or did were they classic super-villains lost to time.  Either way they are great.  The main villain T. O. Morrow is also very cool here.  He is dipicted as a child and an adult.  He is shown to have some negative childhood traits that may foreshadow his future self but they are innocuous and keep him as a sweet looking child any parent would love.  He also has a batty mother who obviously loves him despite her batty personality that makes you empathize with the situation knowing how he will turn out.

The art is top, top, top.  I loved every panel in this book.  It was absolutely perfect.  Frameable art as far as I'm concerned.  I really loved the way T. O. Morrow was drawn.  This should be look from now on.  He is dipicted as a smaller man with a big thick mustache and looks like he could be your uncle Thomas.  He is completely ordinary but has a unique style at the same time.

This book had everything I love in comics.  It didn't even have my favorite characters in it and it was still awesome.  I couldn't give it anymore or any-less than five stars.  It is a gem.  A book you could read over and over again.  I can not recommend this book enough.  I hope you read and enjoy it as much as I did.
