Darrian has donned Mikal's armor and uses his sword to hunt down the demons he meets in New York, slaying them without mercy. A particularly nasty kick from a foe rakes his side and while tending to the wound is knocked senseless by an angel.

Recovering himself he dispatches all three of his assailants. As he walks back to collect his sword and the halo he sees a vision of Dawn in the form of a golden angel/demon form with 4 wings and horns.

At a local bar Jaynis is drowning his sorrows as Darrian enters and down a bottle of vodka. Jaynis bemoans Adelle's same act of unfaithfulness to Darrian when he notices the halo and wants to hold it. Darrian over reacts and shoves his old friend so hard he falls and breaks a horn off his beloved helm. Realizing Jaynis' rage Darrian floors him with a single punch.

Leaving the bar Darrian roams the cities empty streets seemingly cursing the halo. He passes a store front called Goddess, failing to notice Dawn is one of the mannequins inside. She looks sadly at him as he descends into a deserted subway station.
