Am I the only one that's upset that the writers of Batwing are making David quit and that they're replacing him with someone new? And am I the only one that's afraid that they'll make this new Batwing white? Not to sound racis but we only have one black member of the Batfamily (well Batman Inc.) and I'm black and it feels great to see a black hero wear the Bat symbol on his chest I know this is badly worded but let me know what you guys think

I get the feeling that they're defiantly replacing him with somebody white too, at least that's what it seems. We could be wrong though. And I'm personally going to be so pissed. The only reason why it hasn't been cancelled yet is because its one of , if not the only, minority book they have leftfrom the first wave. I'm not too delusional to admit that. I love the character and really wished that the book was interesting as the first arc. Truth be told it is not. All issues after issue 7 have been ok to horribly forgettable. I know fo'sho that the book is still on the shelves because its DCs only minority book from first wave and its a Bat-book. Being a bat- book alone garners sales lol.

    On this new 'diverse' DC

Personally I would of love to have an ongoing Static series that wasn't god awful like the one that they cancelled during the first wave but DC knows what they're doing. They haven't axed this book yet like the other minority books from the first wave because they tried to diversify and it backfired on them; axing all their minority books from the first wave (Static, Mr Terrific, O.M.A.C) would make them look racist.

Again this is all hypothetical and we could be wrong, but you can't blames us. this industry is still rampant with sexist, racist, white fanboys that don't buy anything that's not a white hetero male oriented

hopefully the new Batwing is still black

He's quitting ? Dafuq? I just got into this book. If they replace him with a white guy I'm definitely out.

I'm not a Batwing reader, but I heard somewhere that the new Batwing may be a woman from the series. This character looks a little womanly to me for some reason, so maybe that could be true:

It's not that, it's that Dc wouldn't promote Black characters the same way. Where's Static,Icon, John Stewart, Black Lightning, Firestorm, etc... The only reason this character went this far is due to Bat fans and support of relative Bat titles. Black characters hardly get a fair skake in comics period.

@V_Scarlotte_Rose: O.K., maybe I'm wrong about the new Batwing being a woman. This character looks quite male in this picture:

I dig the new look. Really want it to be Michael Lane or even one Dick Grayson under the armor. One can hope.
