    Origin

    Little has been revealed of David Lapine's background, or how and when he came to be a werewolf. His parents were murdered by vampires, and that, combined with the natural animosity between werewolves and vampires, has given him great motivation to bring justice to rogue vampires. He became a police detective, specializing in investigating unusual murder cases in New York City. His career has brought him into the investigations of numerous cases involving vampire perpetrators -- including the brutal murder of the parents of Chastity Marks.

    Creation

    David Lapine was created by writer Marc Andreyko to be a key supporting character in Chastity's rebooted origin story for Dynamite Entertainment in 2014.
