Season Four of Star Wars: The Clone Wars concludes with a nail-biting, two-part finale arc beginning Friday, March 9 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network with “Brothers.”
After being used as a weapon of vengeance by Count Dooku and Asajj Ventress, the dark warrior Savage Opress embarked on a galaxy-spanning quest to find his long-lost brother, the legendary Darth Maul. Maul lives in the depths of a ruined world as a shattered madman barely held together by dreams of vengeance. Savage conspires with the scheming witch Mother Talzin to heal Darth Maul’s body and mind, so that the brothers can begin a new crusade of vengeance against the Jedi.
The saga continues on Friday, March 16, in “Revenge,” as Obi-Wan Kenobi finds an unlikely ally when battling against the dreaded brothers.
Maul returns as you have never seen him before as the action-packed season culminates in a climactic finale that builds suspense until the very last moment.
Darth Maul
Character » Darth Maul appears in 153 issues.
A Nightbrother from Dathomir, Maul was the first Sith apprentice of Sidious. Maul was sent to fight the Jedi Knights Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan during the Invasion of Naboo. Even though he was defeated by Kenobi and believed dead, the fallen Sith apprentice returned years later during the Clone Wars to seek revenge. Later he founded the crime syndicates Shadow Collective and Crimson Dawn. Darth Maul is also the brother of Savage Opress and son of Mother Talzin.
The Return of Darth Maul!
im so glad i stopped watching this show after the first two episodes.. or else id be soo furious how this animated series is butchering the starwars saga...like wasn't the prequel trilogy enough!/ i only liked the clone wars cartoon series because it fit so perfect in between episodes 1 &2
geez..i mean cmon!? bringing back darth maul!? oh brother...im done.
@BiteMe-Fanboy: not a new idea, this was in a novel and the Star Wars A New Hope Infinities comic had the cyborg Maul in it as well, both were pretty well done stories, dont dismiss it before actually seeing it
@BiteMe-Fanboy: @zackattack529: Are you kidding me? dead characters come back all the time and in Star Wars there are a number of ways for Darth Maul to return; cloning, cybernetics implants, even Darth Sidious came back to life after Vader killed him, by processing clone bodies and in the Revenge of the Seth he said his master, Darth Plagueis could bring back the dead, keep people from dying and even creating new life.
They even have life saving powers like Force Drain and Force Healing in the games and comics.
I like his classic look better than this.
But still, its him, he's angry and lots his geni*.
Hope this series keep the awesomeness.
Let me sum up the Clone Wars series in a nutshell for everyone:
Creators: "Oh wow, look at all these amazing stories you have!"
Star Wars Fan: "Yeah, it such an amazing universe we have here!"
Creators: "Well . . . we're going to take it all, put it in a mosh pit, open fire with 50 cal. machine guns, then replace it with a bunch of crap that isn't even remotely related to it!"
They are ruining are universe one piece of canon at a time. Not only did being cut in half not kill this guy, but smashing his spine on the reactor pit wall, and hitting the bottom of the reactor pit didn't kill him either. Gotta love George Lucas' new sellout persona.
Still don't know how I feel about this but the Clone Wars team proven there abilities before, Interested to see this.
@ReVamp: Asajj Ventress
@NightFang: Yes, but Clone Wars has decimated some much established canon already, it's fair to assume this is a bunch of BS.
Read this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_maul#Survival
Major Spoilers: It explains this whole thing. There explanation is his "hate and will to live, and hatred against Kenobi
How? And if they could, it would have made Episode 3 much better. Darth Maul was a cool looking character that never got to reach his potential. But the prequels are a joke anyway. Wonder if they are going to do proper sequels down the road to redeem the franchise.

So what you're saying is, you hate the show but have never watched it, and have no real idea as to WHY you hate the show other than how bad Episodes 1-3 were?
You're one ignorant goon, if I do say so myself. The Clone Wars is an extremely well made show, that does nothing more than praise Star Wars in everything it does. ANY Star Wars fan should be proud of this series. Now how about you stop acting like an entitled 8 year old?
I have NEVER seen a fanbase whine more than entitled Star Wars fans. And this is coming from someone who loves Star Wars. Darth Maul is an awesome character, Clone Wars is an awesome show. Deal with it.
Wow, Maul is bat-$h!t crazy now, love his insane ramblings until Savage finally snapped him into some linear thought process, cant wait for Maul Vs Obi-Wan round 2, also dug how the world Maul was living on looked like hell, the snake alien who was luring victims to Maul, and Maul's spider like cybernetic lower body, very cool episode
EDIT: also dunno why so many thought he was dead, in episode 1 they did say his body was never found.
@Vogelscheuche:
yeah, exactly. I know that some of the things in the TCW could've been left out (EG: Jar Jar, Duchess Satine, Mortis,)
but I'm not gonna complain. My top 3 characters had some major part in at least 2 episodes: Kit fisto, boba fett, and darth maul. I ain't complaining!!
Oh, and BTW, Darth Maul is awesome
