Pie vs. Baseball and other campaign arguments!

Lets get dangerous! Let me first say that I enjoyed this issue (not only because of all the characters in it, but also because I didn't have to worry about adding this issue and such...some one else did it for me! Got to finally sit back and relax in editing! and this isn't being sarcastic! thanks!)

     Recap on the Campaign!
For those who have been reading this series (and or my reviews) you would know that Darkwing Duck has decided to run for Mayor! One of his opponents (revealed in last month's issue) is none other than his sidekick Launchpad McQuack! LP believes (like us fans) that DW shouldn't be in the office of mayor as he should do what he was born to do: fight crime!

    Doofus!
I think the highlight of this issue for me was the appearance of a Duck tales character named Doofus. He always seemed to be Launchpad's sidekick on

Reason for the end of the world in 2012?

the series; some one who made even Launchpad look smart (which is rare), so it is nice to see him cross over to this series. I really had wanted him to be on Darkwing Duck ever sense I first saw him on Duck Tales the show, so its good to see Ian and James are willing to give me some of what I want to see!

The League of Barely Remembered Super-Villains!
One of the greatest things about this series is that we get to see all these characters from the show that we remembered about and love (like Paddywhack or even Taurus Bulba). In the past two issues, we have been introduced to new characters like Cat-tankerous and one shot, who were both great, but they're not classic supervillains (one is just insane and the other was just love sick) so its good to see in this issue some supervillains from the show. The league (who are later revealed to be an illusion) include such names as Bugmaster, Lilliput (soon to be added to the site), Moliarty, Tuskernini, Jabalaya Jake and his pet gator Gumbo! They were all on my list of characters to see in this series, so its great to see them in this series!

    Cameo Counter!
As with the tradition of James Silvani's art (and sense of humor), there were a few Disney characters cameoed in this issue!
Right off the bat is Tito from the Disney film " Oliver and company". A bit larger than a cameo was the appearance of Bushroot's old pet plant monster, named Spike (later revealed to be only an illusion to my disappointment). At one point in story, it really looks like Duck Tales Genius Gyro Gearloose and his assistant helper have come to give Launchpad a hand with his campain, but this is shown to be only Doofus with a lampshade on his head next to the lamp he took it from. There is also an illustration to Dark Warrior Duck in the way he plans to control St. Canard as mayor. There were also appearances of herbie and the stork.

    Conclusion

It is a strange issue, but a good one. I look forward to the second part. Will be interesting...oh and I leave you with part of Launchpad's campaign (btw Cover B is awesome!):
Can you BELIEVE he is in the lead in the polls?
