Darkrai is legendary Pokémon that has the ability to give others nightmares which is why people don't want one in their vicinity. Many believe darkai are evil but in the tenth Pokémon movie a Drakrai was protecting his friends and home from Dialga and Palkia.
Powers
Darkrai has the ability to put more than one creature to sleep due to his signature move Dark Void, and beaucse of his ability to give people horrible nightmares make him a deadly Pokemon. Darkrai also can learn ice, electric, and psychic moves.

Darkrai first appears in the 10th Pokémon movie, called The Rise of Darkrai. As the title character of the movie, Darkrai plays a huge part in the story. Darkrai takes the task of holding off a fight between Dialga and Palkia, that could have destroyed the entire universe. Darkrai succeeds in his task, occupying Dialga and Palkia long enough for Ash and Dawn to put the Oración disk in the Space-Time Tower, calming down the two legendary Pokémon.
Darkrai also appears in the 12th Pokémon movie, called Arceus and the Jewel of Life.
Darkrai makes it's anime TV debut in Diamond and Pearl episode 104, titled Sleepless In Pre-Battle!
Manga Appearances
Darkrai appears in the manga adaptation of the 10th Pokémon movie, called The Rise of Darkrai.
Darkrai also appears in several issues of the Pokemon Adventures manga.
