When being an Avenger ain't so special.

This isn't really the ending I had in mind. The cover makes you think one thing and I half expected it was a fake-out cover that after the last issue would be revealed in the catalog as Iron Patriot slugging Morgan Le Fay. But when have covers ever meant anything?

This is the issue that wrapped up a 3 issue long fight between The Avenger and Le Fay. Doom and Osborn take care of her, but as she pointed out, Doom can't kill her or else it threatens his timeline too. So Doom gets creative. The rest of the Avenger kind chill in the present, bickering among themselves. The problem is fixed and Osborn & Doom return to the present. Then we have the mini-cliffhanger that leads us into next month.

Okay, so my major complaints, small as they may be, are that for someone like Osborn who seems to be very good at thinking ahead, he seems very childish to want to mess with the future after getting rid of Le Fay. Also, Moonstone's growing on me and I'm really feeling like there is a lack of good uses for her in the last few issues. The art is still good, the writing is on par with past issues, minus the small things I didn't like.

I bought it because 3 days after it came out, it was still on the rack at my near by comic store. Oh and because I'm willing to except small bums in the road. You decide where you stand with bums in the road.

Despite the last video where I sided with the New Avengers over the Dark Avengers, I do like the team.  I do like this comic.  I just think this story was a little lacking and lasted too long.  Bring on issue #5!...
