As a child, Matt Murdock was blinded by radioactive waste while trying to save an elderly stranger about to get hit by a truck carrying the dangerous material. In turn, his other senses were heightened to superhuman sharpness and he gained a form of "radar sense". By day, he is a successful trial lawyer; but by night, he guards Hell's Kitchen as Daredevil: the Man Without Fear.
I liked Frank Miller, David Mazzucchelli, Michael Lark, John Romita Sr, Barry Windsor-Smith, and Alex Maleev.
John Romita Jr's Daredevil run was the run where his art style went downhill. It was where he first developed that overly blocky style that he has become known for using.
@jb681131: The first image you posted was by John Romita Jr, not Frank Miller. Miller only wrote The Man Without Fear. He did the artwork in the beggining of his 80s run.
Matt would get jacked up in those days. It got a little out of pocket when he was fighting Blackheart, Freedom Force, and Ultron, but I think JRjr did a good job
