Marvel has big plans for Netflix and the company's CCO, Joe Quesada, recently spoke about their first Netflix project: Daredevil. First and foremost, Quesada made it transparent they aren't trying to wipe your memories of 2003's Daredevil movie. "Let me be clear, we're not going into this show with the idea of trying to erase the memory of anything that came before or really any preconceived notions whatsoever." The CCO added they want to create something that'll have everyone hooked to their TV sets -- or whatever device they're using to watch Netflix. “We're going into the show trying to create something that's incredibly exciting, incredibly engaging, and will give our fans something that they love, something that's unexpected, something that's going to keep them coming back for more.”

He continued to say that Matt Murdock's 13-episode season means they can "plan it out as a very large movie. It makes seeing the bigger picture a little bit easier." We're pretty sure that means quite a few of you out there will be brave enough to tackle all of the episodes in just one sitting. Lastly, Quesada made sure to emphasize his love for the Man without Fear. “I think everybody knows my relationship with the character of Daredevil, and how important the character is to me -- not just on an emotional front, but on a professional front. How DD brought me back here to Marvel, and how instrumental he was to even me being in this particular position I'm in today… I’m incredibly excited.”

Now we just have to wait for casting news. Who else is thrilled to see how this all turns out?

Excited about all the shows on netflix and will say the DD movie did get me interested in the character so it has that going for me at least

Which is the best thing ever.

Should be a good series.

While Marvel gives us some encouraging words DC just gives us some back wheels so you know leak photos will happen and it will be crap becasue they're never as good as the actual official thing so if they just released it now and avoid the whole hate from a crappy set photo they can avoid that mess. Just look at what people say about that robot from AOU set picture thinking it's actually going to be just that...

I hope so.

I'm confident. Netflix is a good home for a character like DareDevil.

Has there been any word on the general length of a Marvel Netflix episode? I'm wondering if we should be expecting I'm excited for any amount of this content, but we could be expecting anywhere from 260 minutes to 650 minutes of each show.

I'm so excited for this series. I'm so upset that it's "only" 13 episodes. I would love a full on Daredevil series (if we don't get a movie). Though, Defends could suffice too.

Wait was it Daredevil just getting his own show or was it Iron fist and Luke cage appearing on daredevil or was it that other hero's getting their own show on netflix aswell?

I think his comments in this were incredibly generic. Not even news worthy if you ask me.

I'm pretty stoked, hopefully we'll finally see a good live action version of Daredevil

Hard to get anything new out of what he said, but I am excited for it and the others. If they can live up to the artistic success of Arrow, that would do it for me.

It's good to at least see that he is intending on giving the fans something great, and not just one of those guys saying he's going to do it his way and Michael Bay it lol

The 13 episode format should be interesting though... It would be a bad choice (in my opinion) for the story to take place at the beginning of his career cause it would take too much time establishing who he is and all that which I'm sure while not everyone is fully aware of, they can probably give that information some other way. Also, cause I just think it would be more fun to have a Daredevil that's already been in the business for a while :P
